Kathie Bolles is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and founder of Mynd Works Psychiatry. Having struggled with depression for much of her life – more than 15 years, she grew frustrated by the trial-and-error approach to psychiatry. She finally found success after being introduced to brain wave and genetic testing-guided treatment. This inspired her to develop the Mynd Works Psychiatry Concierge Program as a solution for her own patients.
Kathie takes a collaborative approach to psychiatry, acting more as a partner than a standard provider. She understands that her patients are more than just the symptoms they're experiencing; each person has a rich, full life that goes beyond their mental health struggles. With every treatment, she focuses on finding solutions and empowering patients to look to the future rather than being held back by the past. Contrary to the traditional medical model, the practitioners at Mynd Works Psychiatry are trained in the nursing model - to see the person first, and the disorder second.
Kathie received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1990 and has practiced for over 30 years. In 1992, she earned her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology and opened a private psychotherapy practice. After meeting with countless patients who were taking psychoactive medication for their symptoms, in 2013, she decided to expand her career by getting her Master of Science in Nursing. This allowed her to practice both psychotherapy and medication management.
Kathie Bolles, PMHNP-BC, is a dedicated psychiatric nurse practitioner with extensive expertise in treating a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, and bipolar disorder. Her holistic approach to mental well-being is at the heart of Mynd Works Psychiatry, where she combines compassionate care with cutting-edge techniques to help clients regain control of their mental health.
As the founder of Mynd Works Psychiatry, Kathie developed The Mynd Works Way, a comprehensive, personalized treatment model that goes beyond traditional psychiatry. This approach combines Precision Psychiatry which includes genetic testing, Functional Nutrition which includes lab testing, supplements, and lifestyle changes and Integrative Psychiatry which includes both. This approach allows for a deeper understanding of each client’s unique biological makeup. By using these insights, Kathie and her team can create truly individualized treatment plans tailored to each person's needs, improving treatment outcomes and overall well-being.
Kathie’s commitment to breaking down barriers in mental health care, combined with her focus on innovative, evidence-based solutions, ensures that clients receive the highest standard of care, rooted in empathy, expertise, and personalized care.
