Mynd Works Psychiatry Reviews
I've been a patient of Kathie's since college, and I don't know where I would be without her help. From the moment we met, it was clear that she cared about her patients and their well-being above all else. I have ADHD, which is a difficult mental illness to treat, as there's still a lot about it that isn't understood. It's also a mental illness that isn't always treated with the most respect, even by psychiatrists or pharmicists. But Kathie has always stood up for me, listened to me, and advocated for me when I needed it. She has never once made me feel like an imposter or like my ADHD shouldn't be taken seriously. She's also personable and kind-hearted, and it shows in her interactions with her patients-- you can tell that she cares. I highly recommend Kathie if you're looking for a mental health practitioner in the Austin/Texas area!
Kathie saved my life. I was in and out of psychiatric care for almost 2 decades. I was diagnosed with bipolar 2 in my early teens. I was inconsistent with my meds and developed an addiction to cocaine, to help me stay present and energy to get through the day. Kathie was the only person who identified that my addiction to cocaine was linked to my undiagnosed ADHD. Once Kathie started treating my ADHD and stabilizing my mood, my life did a 180. I felt like a human being, I could focus, be present, and the energy to function in life. It was like someone had finally turned the lights on in my head. I am extremely grateful that I have Kathie in my life. I don't know if I would still be here, if I didn't have her help.
