I have been thinking a lot about how to thank you for helping my sister and finally found something that seemed to capture what was what was in my heart.
I was looking for something that symbolizes hope and have always loved what the North Star has come to mean for many people including myself . It symbolizes the hope, that, no matter what your current circumstances are, if you can see it, there is a way forward. We have a brand new relationship and the barriers that used to be between us are gone. I have also stopped being afraid of getting the phone call that people in our situation all fear. My sister is a whole new person with a whole new path ahead of her. And, while I know life still won’t be perfect, she now has what she needs to face the hard stuff and still find lots of joy in life.
I hope you know what a gift you are to people you serve and their families. You have to be quite a special person to have people who have been disappointed time and time again trust in you. I am so thankful that you are that person.
